Simple rules for a simple service.

1. Operator and service

CompilaPDF is an independent project managed by Alberto Gottardo, contactable at info@compilapdf.it. It provides free tools to open, fill, annotate and download PDF files directly in the browser, without an account.

2. Local processing

PDFs and edits are processed on the user’s device and are not uploaded to CompilaPDF servers. You remain responsible for safeguarding the original file, the completed document and data stored on your device.

3. Permitted use

You may use the service only for documents you are authorised to process and for lawful purposes. You must not use CompilaPDF to forge documents, infringe others’ rights, circumvent security measures or conduct illegal activities.

4. Graphical signature

The Signature function places a graphical image in the PDF. It does not create a digital or qualified electronic signature, verify the signer’s identity, or issue certificates or timestamps.

You are responsible for checking which type of signature and formalities the recipient or applicable law requires.

5. Accuracy and templates

You must check the document before sending it: completeness, data, element positioning and recipient requirements remain your responsibility.

Templates and informational content on the site are general, may become outdated and are not legal, tax or administrative advice. Always check the official source’s instructions.

6. Availability and warranties

The service is provided free of charge and as available. We work to keep it reliable and compatible, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete absence of errors or compatibility with every PDF, browser or device.

Always retain the original file and verify the downloaded PDF. To the extent permitted by law, CompilaPDF is not liable for losses caused by improper use, incorrectly entered data or failure to check a document. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Ownership

User documents remain the property of the user or their respective owners. CompilaPDF acquires no rights over processed PDFs. The service name, brand, design, text and code remain protected under applicable law and licences.

8. External services and contributions

External links, including Ko-fi, lead to third-party services governed by their own terms. Any contributions are voluntary, purchase no features and do not change the service provided.

9. Changes and applicable law

The service and these terms may be updated; the published date identifies the current version. Italian law applies, without affecting mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules available to users under applicable law.
